SNAPCORRECT UPDATE: FINISHED WITH MY TREATMENT PLAN!

snapcorrectblogend.jpg

If you’ve been following along since I started this process last June, you’ve heard me talk AD NAUSEUM here and on Instagram about how great it has been. And if you’re new here (HI!), you can catch up on all of my previous posts here as well as the saved highlight on Instagram Stories.

it’s official! My treatment plan has come to an end!

And I am OVER THE MOON happy with my results. Ever since I got my braces off in the 8th grade and refused to wear a retainer (hey thanks a lot for getting me into this mess, 13-year old Christen), my teeth have been shifting toward a reality that I was severely unhappy with. So much so that I was constantly aware of everything, including:

The way I smiled (mostly with my lips closed, duh.)

Where people were standing when I talked (pleeease don’t be on my right side, I hate that side!)

How to pose for photos (if the camera is far away and I turn a little to the left, maybe it’s not quite as noticeable.)

I didn’t even want to show up on social media because this was something no Instagram filter could ever fix.

Now, here we are a year later..

I’m no longer ashamed of my smile. (I flash those pearly whites every time I get a chance!)

I don’t try to hide my teeth when I talk or laugh. (Stand wherever you want, friends!)

I know when I pose for photos, my smile is the least of my worries! (Now, if we could work on a cure for general awkwardness.. that’d be greattt.)

And when I log on to Instagram to chat with y’all, I almost can’t believe the smile staring back at me. It’s what I have always envisioned, and I’m so thankful to SnapCorrect for making that vision come to life.

Now for some before and afters!

Fair warning - if you’re weirded out by dental-style teeth photos, you might want to scroll past this next section. But here are my official before and afters! That snaggletooth on the left was tucked so far behind the front tooth, and both front teeth were angled out to the front and sides.

I’ve shared this photo before as well - it really gives a better look at how they looked in a real life photo rather than the straight on super weird gum showing photo above.

And here’s one more side by side of the before and after in a non-creepy dental photo comparison. And I bet you didn’t even notice, but yes, I have my aligners on in the second photo. THAT’S how crazy clear they are!

I simply can’t say enough good things about my experience working with SnapCorrect. From the very beginning, they’ve been helpful, attentive, and super quick to respond to any questions or concerns I’ve had.

A few months back, as I was nearing the end of my treatment plan, I reached out to see if there was a possibility of a minor tweak to one particular stubborn snaggletooth, and I was assured that if I was not completely satisfied, they would help me out with a post-treatment adjustment plan.

So, earlier this week, I sent over a quick email with some photos detailing the concern and in yet another display of incredible customer service, within 24 hours, SnapCorrect had responded with the answers to all of my questions and a note that they were putting an impression kit in the mail to get the process started. According to Kristee, an awesome member of SnapCorrect’s Smile Team, “It appears that minimal movement should be just enough to achieve the results you are looking for”.

SO, NOW WHAT?

I should be getting that impression kit in the mail next week, and I’ll just have to see where we go from here! As always, I’ll keep y’all updated here and on Instagram. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions! My DMs are always open!

XO, CHRISTEN
