WHAT I'M LOVING LATELY (OCTOBER 21, 2019)

I’m gonna be totally honest with y’all for a hot second. I’ve been a little grumpy this past week. The list of culprits could potentially include cold weather, that student that decided to get an unnecessary ‘tude with me the other day, raging unpredictable hormones, or the fact that I have to run a 10k in 2 weeks despite the fact that I’m not even a little bit prepared.

Yeah, let’s just go with all of the above.

Thankfully, there are a few things that I’m loving lately, so if your week has been less than mediocre, maybe these will cheer you up, too.

I snagged these J. Crew Factory lounge pants a few weeks ago, and I have been LIVING in them ever since. Like, literally, when I come home from work, it takes me about 3.7 seconds to change into these wondrous pants that I’m honestly not sure how I was living life without. They’re perfectly lightweight (great for transitional fall weather), and buttery soft. The fit is somewhat like a jogger, but a bit skinnier, and without the banded bottoms.

I went with the light grey shown below, but they’re also available in black and burgundy.

These cuties were a total impulse purchase on Friday. I went to Belk for something totally different, wandered through the shoe section, and was immediately drawn to this neon coral quilted sneaker.

(I actually couldn’t find the neon coral color online anywhere, but I’ve linked the same shoe in rose gold, which I’m now strongly considering ordering as well.) They’re super cute and comfy, and I can definitely see them being my new go-to travel shoe.

I typically wear a 7.5 or 8, and I went with the 7.5.

I discovered Simply Curated candles several years ago in a cute little shop in Atlanta, and I’ve been in love with their Smoke + Embers scent ever since. For reference, one of my favorite smells ever is the residual smell right after you’ve blown out a candle or a match, so if that sounds like heaven in a glass to you, too, you’re absolutely going to love this.

They are made in the USA from 100% clean soy wax, have a wide wood wick, and a burning time of up to 60 hours. Plus, they come in a reusable 9 oz. rocks glass.

Pro tip: you can also get a travel size with about 15 hours burning time. These are a great option if you’re wanting to test out a scent before committing to one of the larger sizes.

Despite being an Apple girl through and through, I resisted Airpods for a while. I was totally convinced that if I got them, I would lose them, or they would fall out on a neighborhood run never to be found again. But then, I was gifted a pair for my birthday, and let me just tell you that I never knew I needed them until I actually had them.

They are so secure in my ears (I’ve gone running with them several times and they haven’t budged), they know when you take them out of your ears and will automatically pause your music or podcast for you, you’re no longer connected to your phone or laptop by a pesky cord, and basically they’re just insanely convenient in so many ways I never imagined.

If you haven’t made the switch yet, now is the perfect time, because you can get up to $30 off if you purchase them at Target.
